Rules and Code of Conduct for {Shock’N’Awe}

Donations - This entire clan is member supported. All donations go toward Servers, Website, Ventrilo, Domain Registrations etc. All members of Shock’N’Awe are volunteers. All donations are collected and spent on clan services only.
Membership Fee's - Membership fee's are a required element to join our clan/community. You as a clan member, upon placing the Shock'N'Awe tag in front of your gamename, will be required to visit our link labeled "Membership Fees". You will then go through the process of authorizing us to charge your credit card and/or bank account $6.00 per month for a single subscriber or $7.00 for a Family Subscriber(limited to one household only). This fee will be automatically charged to your account each month. We don't except bulk pre-pay amounts, you must be billed monthly per our link. If you do not have a credit card or a bank account you may not be able to join our clan/community. Some exceptions are made. You do not have to be a member of PayPal to make a payment.
While donations are not mandatory, it’s fairly obvious that nothing we do on-line is free. You have to pay for your game, computer and connection. We have to pay to provide you with a place to play, talk and post. Donations are collected through our Pay-Pal link on the site.
Cheaters - If you are caught cheating on any of our servers or other servers, You will be banned and kicked out of our clan.
We may do screenshots at any time, but this does not mean you are cheating. Take this as a compliment! That is unless you are cheating.
Don’t ever accuse a Shock member of cheating. If you think this is happening or have proof, contact an admin.
NO swearing or vulgar language :Remember, we are an adult clan with children playing also. We do have other channels for that, we just don’t feel that a constant barrage of profanity is fun to listen to while playing. If you are typing derogatory remarks, profanity, or generally trashing the public, you may be asked to leave our server by one of our Admins. Repeated violations may result in you being kicked or banned from our clan and servers.
NO Racial/Political Slurs - Racism will NOT be tolerated here! It's that simple. Do not use ANY derogatory words or phrases when posting on any servers or forums.
Also, this is a gaming server, not a political arena. Do not assume that everyone shares your finely honed political views. We are a large clan with as wide of viewpoints. Leave your opinion at the door.
No Degrading of other clans - We don't care if we are the best clan on face of this earth (which we are-LOL), you are NOT to go around and bash other clans. This includes posting on other clans forums. This is not what Shock’N’Awe is all about. If you post derogatory remarks on another server or website you may be ask to remove your Tag.
Clan Tag {Shock’N’Awe} – By joining Shock’N’Awe, you are required to wear your tag at all times, in any game that Shock’N’Awe provides a server for.
Always wear your clan tag with honor. It should be as much of a source of pride for you to wear it as it is for us to ask you to wear it. If you are not wearing your tag you must tell the other members who you are and why your not wearing it. As a clan member, you are a representative of the clan, an ambassador if you will. So, let’s respect others as you would like to be respected.
If you change your Shock name and fail to tell anyone you may be considered a poser, as we won’t know who you are, and be banned from the server. This includes adding special characters to your name that makes it unreadable. Make your name readable in game. The Shock’N’Awe tag is to remain without special characters. You may change the colors only.
As a new member you are required to send a picture of yourself to the shocknaweclan@msn.com email. We will respect your privacy if you do not want your picture made into an ID card on the website. If you are a member under 18 and your parents do not want your picture sent to us, then just let us know. Parents are always welcome to conatact us via email and/or come into our ventrilo and speak to any admin if they feel unconfortable about something. IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS ENTERING THE TAG, LET US KNOW AND WE CAN HELP.
Other Clans - By joining Shock’N’Awe, we expect that this is your only clan and that you will conduct yourself in a proper, respectful way where ever you might play.
Any Shock’N’Awe member starting another clan (whether we host the game or not) will terminate their membership in Shock’N’Awe, since you will have demonstrated a lack of loyalty to our clan.
Ventrilo - Every clan member MUST have a phonetic name in the setup user space so that when you enter Ventrilo, your name is announced. In Battle, Ventrilo being used is a requirement. Having Ventrilo is a requirement to become a member. Once you become a member, you are required to, at least, occasionally, come in and get to know your fellow teammates. If you never come into Ventrilo, and participate as a clanmember, you may be asked to remove your tag.
Remember, we have children in the clan. If you feel the need to swear as you wish, then please use the “Foul Mouth” Channel. We don’t expect a church social, but it’s not a dockside bar either. So watch the profanity, please.
If you have issues with background noise and we have helped you with your settings and still have the problem, you may be asked to use push-to-talk.
Missing in Action (MIA) - Any member who is MIA for a period of 3 months will be removed from the clan member list and deposited in the MIA Roster. After another 3 months you will be discharged from the clan. This includes keeping up with the website i.e.…News, Forums. Please try to post just to let us know you are still alive. If you are going to be away for an extending period of time, tell an admin or write an email, and post it in the forums. It is up to you to request your name to be removed from the MIA list, in writing.
Complaints and Questions - Do not make posts in the servers about your complaints or concerns. If you have an issue with a clan or admin decision, don’t post it in the shout box or in the server. Email an admin or post a non descriptive message in the shout box asking to speak with an admin. If you have concerns about a SNAP member becoming a full member, please talk to an Admin immediately. Any complaints, suggestions, concerns or questions should be made to an admin as soon as possible. (They will do their best to resolve the issue). If you have a problem with another clan member or potential clan member, please try to resolve it yourself, if that does not work take it to and admin. Remember, it isn’t what you say, but how you say it. So try to approach it politely.
Recruiting - We do not recruit from other clan servers as we would not like other clans to recruit from our servers.
If you leave the clan for any reason, please do not recruit from our clan pool. Remember we are all friends here. Don’t try to persuade a clan member to leave because of an issue you might have or the reason you are leaving, you will be banned from anything related to Shock’N’Awe and your new clan will be notified. PLEASE SEE OUR "HOW TO JOIN" LINK ON OUR WEBSITE.
Do not advertise our servers in other servers, for any reason, it is disrespectful and rude. Your tag says it all. If someone advertises in our server, take a screenshot and send it to an admin. We will take care of the rest.
We are sponsored by EA Games and any inappropriate behavior on our website or in our servers may not bode well for EA and our sponsorship.
Other Games - If you like a game that we don't currently host and you would like to create a server to try it out, please get a hold of one of the Founders (Mack or The General) . We will create a channel on Ventrilo and list the IP address on our Website. We will expect to have Admin access and will help in any way we can. If it goes over big and enough members want the game, we will add your server to our collection and structure the clan as needed.
No Heckling or Trashing - others on our server or any other server!! If a guest comes into our server and starts mouthing off, do not feed it by trash talking back. Take a screenshot of what is being said and get it to an admin. Let the ones who can actually help the problem resolve it
Battle Squad – As a squad member, you are required to make it to at least 50% of the squad practices and battles. Ventrilo - during practices, you will remain quiet and attentive while squad leaders are directing or teaching. Suggestions and input are welcome. During battles, there will be no unrelated battle chatter.
Screenshots – F12 takes a screenshot of anything being typed in any of our servers. You may then retrieve the screenshot from your files and send them to shocknaweclan@msn.com to be reviewed and dealth with.
